In the context of rising industrial policies implemented across the world in the era of strategic competition, the conference will bring together leading experts, policy practitioners, and early to mid-career scholars to discuss the political and institutional conditions explaining the return of national industrial policies in the global North and global South. Papers in the conference include analysis of novel sectors targeted for structural transformation, such as renewable energy, new electric vehicles, semiconductors, artificial intelligence\/digital technologies, as well as specific countries and regions where policies aimed at industrial upgrading and productive capacity building are currently being implemented.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
